A Cold, Blowy visit to the Peak District

So, the day started with a very early start and and idea to take a view from the top of Mam Tor. I started the climb by torch light following the path up the hill but the howling wind was so strong I was being thrown about all over the place, especially as I was carrying a very heavy camera ruck sack! I made two attempts to get to the top, but after being nearly blown off my feet a couple of times I decided that even if I got to the top, that taking any photographs up there would be impossible. So making my decision to stay safely at ground level I started to scout around for possible locations and then remembered a photo I had taken on my phone on an earlier trip when I was checking out the area for possible photographs.

My idea was to take a shot low down from the wind swept grass looking out across to Lose Hill capturing the movement of the grass as the first rays of light moved across the ridge. I was pretty pleased witht the results considering initially I thought it could well be a wasted trip.
